Second Photoshoot

 With our second photo shoot we wanted to try different locations (my house) and using a range of props to add to the detail of the photos. The candle adds a great gothic effect to the picture, which makes it scary. I particualy like how the mirrors are captured into it, refelcting the candle light on them.


This is a high angle shot of the little girl walking up the stairs. The way the picture has been taken looks like there is someone looking down upon her. I feel that the use of mirrors and the reflection in them resembles that you cant run from her cause she can be in different places at the same time.

With all our images we have taken we wanted to create different angles and shots to shock and scare the target audience. Even though this image is not showing the little girls face, the teddy bear resembles the girl and where ever the teddy is the girl will be lurching rounf the corner.

Trailer screeen shots we got inspired by

From looking at the trailers on my blog Lia and I got inspiration to try and recreate these shots in our own horror trailer. Some of the shots we were not able to copy exactly as we did not have the right equipment or props. One of the screen shots we collected was writing on the window, we tried recreating it in our trailer by writing on a mirror.

Film Poster

This is the image I used for my film poster. I thought this shot would be effective with the message I wanted to get across to the audience.
I particularly thought the reflection of the girl in the mirror looking down was very effective. I tried to create a range of edits on this picture, from black and white, upping the contrasts and saturation. In the end I decided to have the reflection of the girl colours and the rest of image black and white. I still was not satisfied with the overall look. so I cut the two pictures of the girls out and places them on a black background.

First photoshoot

For our first photo shoot we were focusing on the lighting and the ways we can create a powerful image with only using some lights and a white wall.Taking the photos at different angles. The shadows in some of these photos are very powerful and created a scary obsessed feeling to it. Also some of the photos have a shadow only on half of the little girls face this shows that she has two personalities and we should not trust her.

 This photo has been taken head on, with the girls hair creating a shadow over her eyes. This could be because she is trying to hide her evil side from us all.
From the trailer video we wanted the little girl to be wearing her dress which represents her in this horror film.

 We took this picture from a high angle to show where ever you stand and take the picture from the little girl is always watching and can overpower you. As the lighting gives a shadow of the girl on the wall it gives this image a 3D effect to it. The light also gives the background a fading effect making the little girl stand out from it.

 As we were taking quite of the girl standing up and decided to see what it would be like if the girl was on the floor huddled up. The position the little girl is in now resembles venerability and innocence. We wanted the girl to over power the page as she is the main focus.

With quite a harsh lighting being shown down on the little girl huddled up on the floor their is a harsh lighting which is being shone down on her.From the lighting on her face it creates bags under her eyes resembling tiredness and giving up the fight.Could this be trying to trick the audience?

We tried taking the image from a side view. By messing up the little girls hair and making it all over the place her face is hidden from it. The light on this image is much more darker and gives it a the shadow which is given off from the light on the little girls eyes resemble knife shapes and daggers to show her sinful self coming out. 

Mysterious and unwanted feeling towards the girl.

Venerability and being frightened this is tricking the audeince and showing another personlity to her.Rather than the photo above the girl does not exactly stand out from the background but blends into it. Maybe she is hiding from something or someone?
