We first gave filming ago in the October holidays. It was the first time which we used the camera and tripods out of school and filming something which would be used in our course work.
Getting started took a while but when we got the hang out it, it all came into place. Trying to attach the camera onto the tripod caused a few problems. We also had difficulty trying get the camera secure and straight on the tripod.
Eventually we got the hang of it and we have a lot of useful filming which can be edited and cut to fit in with the horror trailer.
Even though we have a lot of good bits we can add to the trailer we still need to do a few more days of filming to get it up to the standard we are looking for!
Here is a list with what we need to redo all play around with, with are next day of filming:
1.re-shoot when the students find the note in the house.
2.Try writing on one of the mirrors to create a spooky effect.
3.There needs to be much more fast bits added to the trailer to add action etc...
4.There needs to be quite a lot more filming outside in fields and woods (but need to be careful of the time in which we film outside as it gets dark quicker!)
5.Re-shoot the corridor clip again as it does not look right and the lighting is not perfect yet.
6. Add a clip of the music play and how it turns on and off randomly.
7.Maybe add a fuzzy TV clip.
8.Try and add a loft scene to it to create mystery.
9. We need to try and have a few shots with the cat in it to show the audience the real reason why the two students are looking after the house (cat sitting)
10. We also need to have a first photo shoot, trying out different ways to create suspense and shock to the audience not just through the horror film but through the film poster as well!
